Oh my word folks! These Easy Buttered Noodles are straight up amazing. From start to finish, this recipe takes less than 20 minutes. With only 4 ingredients, it makes these noodles perfect for chaotic nights or when you just do not want to spend very much time in the kitchen. You could very likely have all the ingredients already in your pantry and fridge. My family devoured them, and I bet you and your loved ones will too!

These noodles make a great side dish. I may or may not have had a bowl of them (and just that) for lunch before. 😉 The flavors of the broth, butter and parsley just come together for a delicious flavor mash up that makes eating these noodles an absolute delight. This has my gears turning about other recipe possibilities with this flavor combination.

What You Will Need for Easy Buttered Noodles

Ingredients Needed

  • 8 oz package egg noodles
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup butter, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes

Equipment Needed

  • Butter knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoon
  • Wooden spoon
  • Medium pot with a lid (big enough for all the ingredients to be stirred and not spill over the sides)

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 2 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 5-6 minutes on high with lid on your pot until your broth and butter come to a boil and 7-9 minutes on medium high heat with the lid off, stirring occasionally

  • Put your butter pats and broth in a medium sized pot with a lid and bring to a boil over high heat with the lid on (approximately 5 minutes).

  • Once the broth and butter have come to a rolling boil, remove the lid and stir in noodles and parsley flakes.

  • Reduce heat to medium high heat and continue cooking uncovered for 7-9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles have reached desired texture.
